Look closely at the tapestry of Australian arts and you'll find the intricate threads of Franca Turrin's photographic artistry of vast landscapes, ethereal florals, and a focus on the origins of our people.

Franca Turrin. Artist.

By inviting you into my world, I hope to inspire a lifetime of appreciation for the beauty that surrounds us.

My art is a reflection of my innermost convictions. It stems from a quest for authenticity and is a medium through which I convey raw ethereal beauty and imperfection. My pieces are more than mere images; they are narratives that encapsulate transient moments and evoke a sense of vast, celestial wonder. For me, each work is like a story, intricately connected to the grand tapestry of life's impermanence. By inviting you into this world, I hope to inspire a moment of pause, a second of contemplation, and a lifetime of appreciation for the beauty that surrounds us.

The Craft

Authentic Photography.

Light is the driving force behind my work. I create my textured and layered still lives just using flash and continuous light. In a sense it’s using my camera to capture and paint the canvas with light. And I do it with only a single exposure. In the spirit of wabi-sabi this process means that no two images are alike. Each work uniquely captures the imperfect and transient. ….Franca Turrin
